I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Back in March of this year officers traced and located a male believed to be driving under the influence of drugs around the Clifton area of York. Officers located and arrested this male based on findings from this traffic stop. The driver has now been charged with driving whilst under the influence of drugs, driving without a driving licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance. Grateful to those members of the public that give their time to provide information which allows us to tackle drug driving as well as other road offences. If you know of anyone drug or drink driving, or anyone in your community involved in crime please speak with a member of your local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), visit us online, or call 101.
